Pet Sematary
So what is it all about...

Everything is much simpler and much scarier.
By the way, yes. Pet sematary was deliberately misspelled in the original. The correct version would be written like this: pet cemetery.
In my telegram blog I already talked about Why are children used in horror films? and why it works perfectly.
Pet Sematary was no exception.
There are children here too :)

Little boy and girl.
The moral is very naive, just look at the slogan of the film.

And it would seem.. what’s wrong with that?
But imagine that you buried your beloved grandmother. And suddenly, out of the blue, she rises from the grave and comes to your house. What emotion will you experience?
Joy?
This is a person close to you... But is this really true?)
Plot
The pet cemetery existed in reality, and in the house where, according to the plot of the book, Louis Creed’s family moved in, King himself lived with his family.
Huge trucks also rushed along the road, and the writer’s little son Owen almost fell under the wheels. King was forced to bury his dead pet cat Smaki in the cemetery, and then watched as his daughter Naomi fumed and cried, demanding that the cat be returned.
It was then that the thought struck Stephen King: what would happen if the cat really came back?
In the film, the cat returns... but the girl asks her father to close the door at night so that the cat does not come into her room at night. Now it's not the same cat.

Then, on her birthday, the daughter herself finds herself near the road.

I don’t even have to tell you what happened next... let alone show you... like some art-house directors do in their films.
Next comes the burial ceremony. Well, then the main character digs up the body of his dead daughter and buries it in the very cemetery that resurrected the cat.
Voila...

A very funny technique when we are shown how a girl tries to comb and wash a resurrected cat... and he scratches her.

And now the father is trying to wash his resurrected daughter from the smell of the grave and the color of rotten flesh, actively working with a comb.

But this is not the end)
Then the father puts his daughter to bed... and she asks him to lie down next to her.

As you wish... but I can’t remember anything more brilliant than this.
Does anyone else need to explain that the dead should stay dead?)
Then the wife and little son of the protagonist return home and see his father and the resurrected Ellie, who runs to her mother and hugs her.

Essentially — a curtain.
Here's your homework... Why don't we rejoice and run to hug when a revived relative comes to us? After all, sometimes we don’t treat living relatives very well... and why? Think about this.
Naturally, trash, cruelty and blood begin next.

The neighbor who showed where the cemetery is is killed because he doomed an innocent girl and everyone who was buried there to eternal suffering in hell.
Well, little by little the dead girl comes for everyone.
For mother (which also has a deep and interesting story, which I will no longer retell within the framework of this publication).
— Did you want your sister [who suffered during her life] to die?
— Yes
“You prayed for her to die, didn’t you?”
For the father, who clearly did a stupid thing and paid for it.
“I didn’t have enough time to say goodbye to her.”
Well, for the younger brother, who watches how the whole family, who has turned into the dead, comes to him.
End :)
Another moment that touched my heart:
When the family just moved in, Ellie, in a ballgown, dances for the guests, and the guests applaud.
So after her resurrection... Ellie is scary, ugly, covered in dirt, covered in grave decay, trying to dance her dance of little swans and breaking everything around her.
Therefore, the slogan fits the story more than ever, and I hope no one will try to bring back pets or people from the other world.
The dead must stay dead
