Usually, when there is nothing special to say about the content, they talk about the form.
Today we won’t even get to the form.
I started watching this great anime only because of the plot. Having finished watching (what is available at the moment), I repeated to myself only two phrases for several hours in a row
“Yeah”, “fuck”
“fuck” and “yeah”
All my life I have been trying to build a psychological map of the world for myself. Such a system into which any event, personality (person), no matter how deviant and deep it might be, could be entered. Good or evil, vulnerable or tough; all the inflections of the personality line up into one very natural pattern.
And it is worth saying that such a system has been emerging for some time. After viewing this work, my picture of the world was formed even more clearly.
I’m not saying that everyone who watches this will experience a similar metamorphosis, I’m just describing my experience.

In short, I already imagined the world as one big meat grinder in which human destinies are turned. Evgeniy Kostritsa with his grinding escalators wrote something about this, Dante Alighieri with his souls in different circles, the concepts of many fictional worlds represent a world in the center of which there is a whirlpool.
The picture of the abyss, reflecting different levels of reality, actually finds reflected in the physical model space-time. I’m much more interested in how different people arrange their own creatures in this picture.
I can only say one thing: the further you are from the whirlpool of the abyss, the slightly longer you will feel calm and safe.
I don’t think many people will read this article, and of those who do, even fewer will decide to watch this anime. In exactly the same way, none of the people wants to look for answers and keys to the existence of this world and descend into the abyss, asking questions. The price of answers is too high for many.

It’s better to start watching with the series, although in 2019 the entire series was glued together into the first and second parts of the films. The third film was released in 2020.

Ascent and descent, curse and blessing, life and death are things that can change their meaning under the influence of various catalysts and meanings that endow them.
The ability to sacrifice opens up new roads. The ability to give up everything and sacrifice your neighbor leads to an understanding of the essence of things.
There are different ways to become a white whistle
There are very few works where the main villain wins in the end.
There are even fewer films where the villain turns out to be actually a well-wisher and teacher. And prepares a human cartridge named Prushka in advance for travel, as a white whistle.
The main character is without weapons or armor, not a playboy philanthropist, but just a child who looks at the death of friends and severed limbs with childish, pure emotions 🦾
Descending into the abyss for answers is not everyone’s cup of tea, which is why anime is not for everyone. And although this is not the end of the journey, I think that this is already a completely separate point in the author’s thoughts. Things could get worse and it would be better to leave it at that.
