Toilet cistern key *calls you in a whisper*
your actions?

Locke & Key / Locke's Keys / Lock and Key, that same pun of meanings, became the most watched Netflix series 🤦
I looked... called and squeezed, tore, shit and vomited. Now I’ll tell you about the director’s attempts and why it’s more interesting to watch how water is cut for 10 hours.
Joe Hill, who did the original comic... may have done it brilliantly, but since he co-produced the Netflix series... I now think he's retarded too (This is the only character in the series for whom I’m not ashamed, by the way. T-tolerance is unobtrusive this time).
I wanted to turn off what I was watching from the first 5 minutes.
Series genre: horror.
The basic principle of a good story... and especially scary history is built on the separation of worlds.
There is a world of people. There is a world of old women.
We saw this in It, we saw this in The Ring, we will see this in any good horror film. The bullshit only comes out when the hero crosses the line or crosses the border between two worlds. This is a 1,000,000% rule for any horror film and building up any suspense.

This could be a group hallucination (like the restaurant scene in It 2)

or solo dive (father's dream from Pet Sematary)

Even Pixar’s “Monsters, Inc.” remember... monsters don’t come out of the closet during the day. It's not scary and absolutely impossible.

To bring evil into the world of people, you need to be the king of horrors and understand life. There are such kings in the movies too, but if you blindly imitate and copy them, you will only get a lot in your pants.
In our case, the hype on dad’s popularity did its job 😒
Here (in the series) evil and good hold hands and eat ice cream together. They get drunk or hang out in caves, forcing the viewer to hit themselves in the face every 40 minutes.

What can you praise the series for?
(and you can really praise him for something... unexpectedly)
For quality work by professionals.
There are people who got high while they were doing their job.
They came to them with the phrase: “We’re doing something cool.. [they didn’t listen further and perhaps didn’t even read the script]”
Lights, camera, sound, staging, special effects... it's delicious. In this case, this does not save the picture at all, but this is the only reason I watched to the end.

I'll cut the footage for you and send it to you into the channel later so you don't waste your time and watch this :(

Shooting from a drone, shooting a dark house, working with light in the frame, using classic and forgotten camera movements... all this was pleasing to the eye.
But this is very little to give the series more than 3/10.
I want a story... and not just beautiful footage shot with cool cameras.
